How we run projects, from proposals to launch week.
Website migration, with your rankings intact.
We move websites to Webflow or code from WordPress, HubSpot, Wix and older builds, and rebrand them onto new domains, with every old address mapped and redirected so the search traffic you’ve earned comes with you.
Where migrations go wrong.
Most migrations that lose traffic lose it for the same few reasons: pages that move without a redirect, old pages all sent to the home page, chains of redirects, or titles and content that didn’t make it across.
So we start with an inventory of every page on the old site, decide with you what happens to each one, and check the new site against the old before anything goes live. Then we keep watching after launch, while there’s still time to fix what Google finds.
What we plan for
- Pages that move without a redirect
- Everything sent to the home page
- Redirect chains
- Content and titles lost on the way
Sites we’ve migrated. From WordPress, HubSpot and Wix, and onto new domains, with redirects from a handful to 645.
Smokeball
Legal practice management software, Australia, UK and US
We’ve looked after their Webflow site since 2024. In 2026 we rebuilt their Australian, US and UK sites on one component system and launched all three on the same day.

Fresh Clinics
Medical aesthetics network, Australia and US
A rebuild across Australian and US sites with HubSpot forms, cookie consent set up with their privacy advisers, a planned SEO migration and FAQs on every page. We’ve kept building landing pages and features since launch.

Altus
Project and portfolio management for Microsoft 365
A website their marketing team runs themselves, with training, a language selector across the site, FAQ schema and a technical SEO check.

Skip
Home lender, Australia
Two websites for the same lender: the Sucasa site, then the rebuild for its rebrand to Skip, built in Webflow from their designer’s new brand system, with the calculators, articles and search rankings carried across.

Smileyscope
Medical technology, Australia and US
A new website for a VR medical device used during needle procedures, moved off Wix: Australian and US versions from one site, HubSpot-connected forms and referenced clinical claims, launched for World Health Expo in Dubai.

Generate
B2B marketing community, Australia and New Zealand
Their website in 2024, then a new one in 2026: a design system and a faster build their team can update themselves, with pages for the community, the Generate Summit and the blog.

Migrations we’ve run.
| Client | Moved from | What moved | Redirects |
|---|---|---|---|
| Smokeball | Earlier Webflow builds, three countries | Australian, US and UK sites; the US alone brought 1,182 CMS items in 13 collections | 645 for Australia and the UK, with no chains |
| Fresh Clinics | HubSpot’s CMS | The site and 150+ articles, with HubSpot kept as the CRM | 324 |
| Altus | WordPress | Blog, case studies and 24 integration pages, moved and checked by hand | A handful: addresses barely changed |
| Skip | An earlier Webflow build and domain | A new name and domain, with 47 articles and resources at the same paths | Every page, one for one. Rankings held |
| Smileyscope | Two Wix sites | One Webflow site with Australian and US versions | Not published |
More numbers from these builds are in our Webflow project benchmarks.
What a migration includes.
An inventory of the old site
Every page and post, from the sitemap, Search Console, analytics and the CMS, so nothing with traffic or links is missed.
A redirect map, page for page
Each old address matched to its closest new page and redirected in one hop. Smokeball’s Australian and UK sites needed 645 redirects, with no chains.
Website migration SEO: keep your rankingsContent moved and checked
Posts, case studies, resources and their fields carried into the new CMS, then checked against the originals. On Smokeball’s US site that was 1,182 items in 13 collections.
Webflow project benchmarksPlatform moves
From WordPress, HubSpot, Wix, Squarespace or an older build, to Webflow or a site built as code, with forms, analytics and integrations set up again.
A WordPress to Webflow migration planDomain changes and rebrands
A new name and domain without starting from zero: page-for-page redirects, as Skip had, and Google’s Change of Address tool.
Skip case studyLaunch and the weeks after
Redirects live before the switch, the new sitemap submitted, and Search Console watched for missing pages and drops.
Website launch checklist: the first week live
How a migration runs.
Take stock
List every page on the old site and decide, with you, what to keep, merge or retire.
Map and build
Map every address that moves, build the new site on staging, and carry the content across.
Check everything
Content against the source, links, forms, titles and a sample of redirects, signed off before launch.
Switch and watch
Redirects live before the domain moves, then Search Console checked closely through the first weeks.
In our clients’ words.
“Website seems to be running well and all very positive feedback after the launch (and no SEO rankings dropping off a cliff which is always a relief!)”
Website migrations, answered. What teams ask before they move.
It depends on how much moves: the number of pages and posts, how much the addresses change, how messy the old content is, and the forms and integrations to set up again. We quote each migration after looking at the current site, and the proposal sets out exactly what’s included.
A careful migration keeps the risk low, but no one can promise rankings won’t move. We keep addresses that rank where we can, redirect everything else page for page, and watch Search Console after launch. Skip changed its name and domain this way, and its rankings held.
WordPress, HubSpot’s CMS, Wix, Squarespace, Framer and older Webflow builds, among others. Altus came from WordPress, Fresh Clinics from HubSpot and Smileyscope from two Wix sites. We move sites to Webflow, or to a site built as code when that suits the project better.
It depends on how much the addresses change, not on the size of the site. Altus needed only a handful because its addresses barely changed; Fresh Clinics needed 324 and Smokeball 645 across two countries. A move to a new domain needs a redirect for every page.
Most of our migrations run as part of a redesign, planned for two and a half to three months. Content and approvals usually set the pace. Fresh Clinics’ move from HubSpot’s CMS included a month of testing on staging before launch.
