Superbrick is a design and technology studio in Brisbane. We make websites for ambitious teams, then stay on to keep improving them.

A note from Matt, our founder.

Your website is the one marketing channel you actually own. Ad platforms change their prices, feeds change their algorithms, and none of them ask you first. Your site is where you still set the rules.

Yet most websites are treated as a project with an end date: a launch, then a couple of quiet years while the business moves on without it. The value leaks out in that gap, when nobody can change a page without booking a developer.

I learned that from the inside. I’ve worked at a number of high-profile companies, across design, tech and marketing, and seen how websites get run inside large organisations. It doesn’t work well there, and it works even less well for small businesses.

So we build for the second year, not just launch week. Sites made from components your team can use to publish new pages on their own, and a studio that stays on to keep improving them.

If that sounds like what your team needs, I’d love to hear what you’re building.

Matthew Bishop, Founder

How we work.

  • We agree what the site has to do

Before anyone opens a design tool, we agree who the site is for, what it has to prove, and what counts as working after launch.

  • The important pages come first

One or two pages done really well beat ten done quickly. We get the priority pages live, learn from them, then build out.

  • You see the work as it happens

Each project runs in a shared Slack channel. Designs come with recorded walkthroughs, and builds go up on a staging site you can comment on directly.

  • The people who design it build it

Nothing is handed to a separate build team, so the details agreed in design make it to launch.

  • Then we stay on

Launch is the start. We stay on to add pages, fix what slows people down, and keep the site improving.

Some of the teams we’ve worked with.

Who we work best with.

A good fit

  • Growing businessesTech, SaaS, health and franchises whose website hasn’t kept up.
  • Marketing teamsWho want to publish without booking a developer.
  • Clear decision-makersSomeone who can sign off, so the project keeps moving.
  • AgenciesWho need a reliable design and build partner for their clients.

Probably not

  • Set-and-forget sitesA site that launches and is never touched again.
  • Long approval chainsSix sign-offs before a heading can change.
  • Lowest price winsChoosing on price alone, rather than fit.
